Welcome to DreamClairity ("we," "us," "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, mobile experience, and AI-powered dream interpretation service ("Service"). By accessing or using DreamClairity, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be:
- At least 18 years old, or
- At least 13 years old with parental or legal guardian consent
By using DreamClairity, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Description of the Service
DreamClairity provides:
- AI-generated dream interpretations
- A dream journal and insights dashboard
- Optional premium subscription for full access
AI responses are generated by third-party models and may not always be accurate or complete.
3. Subscriptions, Billing & Payments
Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions renew automatically every month on the same date as your original purchase.
- You will be charged automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Payments
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- You must keep your payment information up to date.
- If a payment fails, access to premium features may be paused until resolved.
Cancellations
- You may cancel at any time.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
- All sales are final.
- No refunds are offered for subscription fees, partial months, or unused time.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful or abusive purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, scrape, or resell the Service
- Mislead others regarding the nature of AI-generated content
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security features
We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these terms.
5. AI-Generated Content & Disclaimer
DreamClairity uses artificial intelligence to generate interpretations and insights based on your dream descriptions.
By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- AI content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable
- All interpretations are for personal reflection and entertainment only
- We do not provide psychological, therapeutic, or medical advice
- You should not rely on AI interpretations for making life decisions
- You are solely responsible for actions taken based on AI output
6. Third-Party Service Providers
To operate DreamClairity, we use the following trusted providers:
OpenAI
Processes your dream descriptions and chat messages to generate AI responses.
Supabase
Provides authentication, user accounts, session management, database storage, and usage tracking.
Stripe
Processes subscription payments, billing information, charges, and renewal management.
Cloudflare
Hosts the website, delivers content, provides DDoS protection, and handles security-level logging.
By using the Service, you authorize these providers to process your data as needed.
7. Account Deletion & Data Retention
If you request account deletion:
- Your account and dream data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days
- Payment-related information may be retained by Stripe for up to 7 years (legal requirement)
- Backups held by providers (Supabase/Cloudflare) are automatically purged within 90 days
Once deletion is complete, your data cannot be recovered.
8. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
Where appropriate, we will provide notice through the app or by email.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. If changes are significant, we will notify you.
Your continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
DreamClairity is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- We are not responsible for:
- Actions or decisions based on AI-generated interpretations
- Data loss, service interruptions, or technical issues
- Failures of third-party providers (OpenAI, Supabase, Stripe, Cloudflare)
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations—those limitations may not apply to you.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any concerns or disputes should be brought to us directly at hello@dreamclairity.com.
We will work with you in good faith to resolve the matter informally.
DreamClairity does not agree in advance to submit to any specific jurisdiction or court.
